Did you know you can now book GP Appointments in Mid Nottinghamshire on evenings and weekends?

All GP Surgeries across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood can now offer evening and weekend routine GP appointments.  These appointments are available to all residents who are registered with a GP Practice in Mid Nottinghamshire.

The appointment may not take place at your usual GP surgery, but at another nearby. Your GP surgery will be able to provide you with more information about the location at the time of booking an appointment.

Practices within the local PCN are Abbey Medical Group, Bilsthorpe Surgery, Hillview and Farnsfield Surgeries, Major Oak Medical Practice, Middleton Lodge Surgery, Rainworth Surgery and Sherwood Medical Partnership.

Appointments are available up to 8pm on a weekday, Saturdays 9:00 am until 5:00pm at a practice within your PCN (Primary Care Network) group of practices.

Please note that these appointments are for non-emergencies and are pre-bookable only.

If you find that you no longer need your appointment please cancel it so that these can be offered to other patients.

For further information please speak to your GP Surgery.

Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours

In the event that the surgery is closed you can seek advice by phoning NHS 111 for non-emergency symptoms, or by contacting your pharmacist. If these services suggest you need urgent care then Primary Care 24, right next to the Emergency Department at King’s Mill Hospital, provisos a 24 hour walk in service.

Out of Hours is from when the GP surgery closes to the time it opens in the morning. If you require urgent attention during these hours, appointments are made through 111 and you will be seen at your local Out of Hours Services Provider.

In case of a life threatening emergency, please dial 999.
